
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jharkhand continued to experience cool winter conditions with foggy mornings in several districts, while temperatures remained largely near normal, according to the latest realised weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi.
The state capital Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 23.0°C, about 0.4°C below normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 9.5°C, marginally 0.4°C above normal. Jamshedpur saw a daytime high of 25.6°C (0.8°C below normal) and a minimum of 12.4°C, which was 1.1°C above normal.
Chaibasa-PTO recorded the highest maximum temperature in Jharkhand at 26.8°C, while the lowest minimum temperature was logged at Ranchi AMFU, dipping to 6.3°C.
No rainfall was reported from any part of the state during the past 24 hours.
Fog affected visibility in parts of the state during early morning hours. Daltonganj reported the lowest visibility at 150 metres, while fog was also observed in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Deoghar. The IMD clarified that no cold wave conditions prevailed anywhere in Jharkhand.
Automated Weather Station (AWS) data showed maximum temperatures of 25.2°C in Bokaro, 25.4°C in Deoghar, 26.4°C in Pakur and 25.9°C in Saraikela, with minimum temperatures across districts ranging between 6.9°C and 13.1°C.
Within Ranchi city limits, Hinoo recorded a maximum temperature of 23.0°C, while the minimum temperature of 6.3°C was observed at Ranchi AMFU. All observation centres reported nil rainfall.
The weather department has advised commuters to remain cautious during early morning hours due to reduced visibility caused by fog in several areas.
