UditVani, Jamshedpur : The Science Club at the school organized an engaging experiment for Class 5 students on the “Science of Stability” through the Paper Balance Experiment. This hands-on activity demonstrated how objects achieve balance and maintain stability using everyday materials like paper, water containers, and small objects.
Students folded and positioned paper in various shapes over containers, observing how weight distribution affects stability. They discovered that a wider base enhances balance, allowing the paper to support greater weight without tipping over.
The experiment connected to real-world applications, such as why boats float steadily and buildings feature broad foundations for strength. Active participation sparked excitement as students shared observations and discussed findings.
Teachers guided the session, simplifying scientific principles behind balance and stability. The activity fostered curiosity, teamwork, and observation skills while making science learning fun and interactive.
