Udit Vani Jamshedpur: In a swift and strategic operation, Jugsalai police arrested notorious criminal Chand alias Langda within 48 hours of a recent snatching incident. Wanted in 8–10 serious cases across Jamshedpur and Seraikela-Kharsawan, the accused was involved in multiple thefts and robberies.
Police recovered stolen goods worth several lakhs, including gold and silver jewelry, iPhones, and luxury accessories. During interrogation, Chand revealed details of his gang, prompting police to launch further raids.
DSP Tauqeer Alam confirmed that the arrest is a key breakthrough under the “Operation Clean City” drive, aimed at curbing urban crime. Chand has been sent to judicial custody as investigations continue.
