
UditVani, Ranchi : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today received Rakesh Sengar, an associate of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi, on a courtesy call at the Chief Minister’s residential office in Ranchi.
During the meeting, Sengar presented the Chief Minister with Satyarthi’s autobiography, his latest book “Karuna: The Power of Compassion”, and the 2025–26 annual report of Bal Gram.
He briefed the Chief Minister on the initiatives, programmes and activities being undertaken by Bachpan Bachao Andolan in Jharkhand for the protection of child rights and the eradication of child labour.
The Chief Minister also interacted with Kailash Satyarthi over the telephone and appreciated his sustained efforts towards child welfare and the safeguarding of children’s rights.
