UditVani, Jamshedpur : XLRI Jamshedpur, hosted a distinguished leadership session featuring Jacob Jacob, Group Chief Human Resources Officer of Aster DM Healthcare, Dubai.
The event, titled “Catalyst of Business Growth: The New Dimensions of Technology and People,” delved into the powerful synergy between technological advancement and human potential as key drivers of sustainable business transformation.
During the session, Jacob emphasized the evolving role of leadership in leveraging digital transformation alongside people-centric strategies to foster innovation, agility, and organizational growth.
The dialogue offered students a global perspective on how the intersection of technology and human capital is reshaping the modern business landscape.
A major highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Aster DM Healthcare, Dubai, and XLRI Jamshedpur, marking the beginning of a long-term academic–industry collaboration. The MoU aims to strengthen partnerships in leadership development, experiential learning, and talent exchange, fostering a future-ready workforce equipped to meet the challenges of the global healthcare and business environment.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Fr. Sebastian George, director, XLRI Jamshedpur; Prof. Kanagraj Ayyaluswamy, Convenor of Corporate Relations and Placement; Prof. Sunil Sarangi, Co-convener; Prof. Giridhar Ramachandran, Associate Dean – XLRI Online Learning; and senior members of the XLRI Corporate Relations and Placements team, including Rajni Ranjan and Ashish Pal.
Accompanying Jacob were key Aster DM Healthcare leaders — Shahed Abdul Rahiman, Head of HR Corporate & Aster Digital Health; Manish Singh, Assistant General Manager, Performance and Rewards; and M Febina Abdul Rahiman, Deputy Manager, Talent Acquisition and HR.
The session concluded with an engaging interaction between Aster’s leadership team and XLRI PGDM(GM) students, underscoring how the convergence of people and technology can catalyze leadership excellence and sustainable business growth in the digital era.
