UditVani, Jamshedpur: Scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms was reported from isolated pockets of Jharkhand as active synoptic systems influenced weather conditions over the state.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric westerlies, with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level, is presently running roughly along Longitude 87°E to the north of Latitude 21°N.
Simultaneously, an upper air cyclonic circulation persists over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining north coastal Odisha at around 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
The combined impact of these systems has led to atmospheric instability and convective activity over parts of the region.

Among key observatories, Ranchi registered a maximum temperature of 26.6°C and a minimum of 13.2°C with no rainfall.
