
UditVani, Jamshedpur: Jharkhand witnessed a further dip in temperatures on Tuesday, with the latest realised weather report from IMD Ranchi confirming dry and colder-than-normal conditions across the state.
No rainfall was recorded in any district, signalling a stable but intensifying winter pattern.
Chaibasa remained the warmest location with a maximum of 27.8°C, while Gumla reported the coldest night at 5.3°C, marking a sharp chill in the region.
In the capital city Ranchi, temperatures stayed below normal. The maximum settled at 22.8°C, while the minimum was 10.6°C, reflecting a continued fall.
Jamshedpur also saw cooler conditions, recording 26.4°C as the day’s high and 10.5°C as the night low, both hovering below seasonal averages.
Several districts including Daltonganj, Bokaro, Hazaribagh and Khunti reported similar trends, with mild daytime warmth and distinctly colder nights, as north-westerly winds strengthened winter’s grip.
Early-morning visibility dropped in parts of the state, with Ranchi reporting the lowest visibility at 1500 meters due to shallow fog.
Meteorologists anticipate a further decline in minimum temperatures over the next few days, particularly in western and central pockets.
The people has been advised to stay warm during early mornings and late evenings as the cold wave gradually intensifies.
