UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand State Billiards and Snooker Association (JSBSA) state ranking tournament, currently underway at The United Club, witnessed an exciting finish to the Men’s Snooker event, with Snehanshu Saha of Hazaribagh claiming his maiden state ranking title after a gripping 5-4 victory over Anish Parikh of Jamshedpur in the final.
In a closely contested championship clash, Snehanshu edged past Anish with frame scores of 67-44, 17-57, 42-56, 40-74, 49-29, 55-26, 66-50, 28-70, and 69-44, showcasing remarkable composure under pressure to secure his first-ever state crown.
The battle for third place was equally intense, with Palwinder Singh of Jamshedpur defeating Kashish Chandra Ravi of Hazaribagh 3-2 in a thrilling playoff. The frame scores were 69-64, 67-33, 32-71, 44-56, and 70-51.

Meanwhile, the Men’s 6 Red Snooker event commenced on Thursday with several exciting matches.
Shubham Gupta defeated Ankit Kumar 3-2 in a hard-fought encounter, while Hemant Kumar registered a dominant 3-0 win over Anish Raj. Akshay Sachdeva overcame Ganesh Khanal 3-2 in another close contest, and Prateek Lal cruised past Alok Sharma with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Aman Kumar also advanced after beating Varun Vig 3-1.
The state ranking tournament, being held from May 12 to 24, continues to showcase Jharkhand’s finest billiards and snooker talent, delivering high-quality competition and promising performances.
