
UditVani, Jamshedpur: XLRI Jamshedpur successfully hosted KRONOS 2025, its annual flagship CHRO Conclave, organized by the PGDM (GM) Batch of 2025–26. Themed “Reimagining Work, Workforce & Workplace: The CHRO’s Playbook for 2030”, the conclave brought together leading HR visionaries to deliberate on transformations redefining people, organizations, and leadership.
The inaugural session featured addresses by Dr. (Fr.) George Sebastian, S.J. (Director, XLRI), Dr. Sanjay Patro (Dean, Academics), and Dr. Purna Chandra Padhan (Associate Dean, Executive Programs). Fr. Sebastian highlighted that while AI may reshape processes, HR remains deeply rooted in human knowledge and will always be the “nerve center of organizations.” Prof. Patro urged purposeful job design and workplace innovation, while Prof. Padhan emphasized KRONOS’s role as a bridge between academia and industry.
The day unfolded with three high-impact panel discussions:
Workforce Resilience: Speakers from Transsion India, BCG, Zeta, L&T Finance, and Optum stressed the need for agility, empathy, talent mobility, and psychological safety in preparing organizations for disruption.
The Evolving Role of CHROs: Leaders from EXL, Vedanta Power, L&T Finance, Vadilal, and Vector Consulting highlighted the CHRO’s transition into a strategic business partner, driven by culture, continuous learning, and purpose.
Beyond DEI: Experts from Kyndryl, Northern Trust, Tide, GMMCO Ltd, and India Power underlined the importance of equity, transparency, inclusive systems, and empathetic leadership in shaping future-ready organizations.
The conclave concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered under the guidance of Dr. Kanagaraj Ayyalusamy and Mr. Rajni Ranjan, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing committees.
With KRONOS 2025, XLRI reaffirmed its standing as a pioneering management institute, sparking critical conversations on the future of work, workforce, and workplace in the run-up to 2030.
