UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jharkhand education minister Ramdas Soren’s health remains in a critical state, with doctors confirming that he is on life support.
According to medical experts, his brain has stopped functioning following a severe injury and haemorrhage sustained earlier this month.
On August 2, Soren collapsed at his Ghorabandha residence in Jamshedpur, suffering a head injury that led to brain haemorrhage.
He was airlifted to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital on the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and has been undergoing treatment since.
A joint medical team from the US and Apollo Hospital held an online consultation on Monday regarding his condition.
After reviewing reports, doctors concluded that brain surgery is not possible and decided to continue life support.
Former MLA Kunal Sarangi informed that, as per doctors, while Soren’s body is functioning, his brain activity has ceased. The overall physical parameters remain stable, but due to brain haemorrhage, his condition is still serious.
Further tests will be conducted before any final medical decision is taken.
