Jamshedpur : The 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 was held from April 25 to April 27 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi.
The grand event was inaugurated by the Union minister for youth affairs and sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, in the presence of Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev.
In this prestigious international event, Malay Kumar De from Jharkhand played a key role as a technical official.
Athletes from 21 Asian countries participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents in Yogasana. The Indian team topped the medal tally with an impressive haul of 87 medals — 83 Gold, 3 Silver, and 1 Bronze.
Malay De expressed his pride, stating, “It is a matter of immense honour and privilege for me to serve as a judge at an international platform.”
Over the years,De has served as a judge in various major national events such as the National Sports Championships, Khelo India, All India University Games, and All India Police Games.
Currently, he holds the position of technical head of the Yogasana Sports Association of Jharkhand and serves as the secretary of the East Singhbhum District Yogasana Sports Association.
Malay Kumar De extended his heartfelt gratitude to the General Secretary of Yogasana Bharat, Jaideep Arya, President S Uday Seth, President of Asian Yogasana Sanjay Malpani, Secretary Umang Dhawan, Secretary of Yogasana Sports Association of Jharkhand Bipin Kumar Pandey, Treasurer Manoj Tiwari, Joint Secretary Sudha Jha, Vice Presidents of East Singhbhum District Yogasana Sports Association Arjun Sharma and Ravi Shankar Newar, District Treasurer Lalita Sharma, Joint Secretary Pragya Paromita Chakravarty, and all members of Yogasana Bharat, Yogasana Sports Association of Jharkhand, and the East Singhbhum District Yogasana Sports Association for their warm wishes and continued support on his achievement.
