Jamshedpur : In an effort to promote health awareness among students, a grand Free Dental Check-Up Camp was organized at St. John’s High School by Dr. Priyanka and her experienced team of dentists through Young Indians.
The initiative benefited over 600 students from pre-primary to Grade X, who underwent dental examinations during the camp.
Dr. Priyanka, in her opening address, emphasized the importance of oral hygiene, stating, “A child’s smile is not just a symbol of their confidence, but also the foundation of their overall health. Proper dental care must begin from childhood to prevent serious issues in the future.”
During the camp, the dental team shared vital oral hygiene tips with the students, including:
* Brushing twice a day
* Limiting sugary foods
* Visiting a dentist every six months
Each student received a personalized dental health report card with suggestions for improvement.
Children diagnosed with dental issues were also given further guidance for treatment.
The school principal Ashu Tiwari, expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are thankful to Young Indians for their dedicated effort towards the well-being of our students. Such initiatives should be conducted regularly for the betterment of our children.”
The camp served as a valuable step in instilling lifelong oral health habits among young learners.
