UditVani, Jamshedpur : Loyola Alumni Association ( LAA) defeated XL Eagles by a convincing 80 runs in pre -quarter final of Fr. Enright Cricket Tournament held at the XLRI ground today.
The 12- day tournament organised by XLRI Jamshedpur kicked- off on January 21 and continue till February 1.
Ten teams are participating in the cricket tournament.
XL Eagles won the toss and LAA team was put to bat where the later scored 130 runs with a loss of 8 wickets.
YIM Dhotiwala was the highest scorer with 42 runs. XL Eagles were all out for 50 runs within 10 overs.
Rohit Poulose was declared the Man of the Match . He took 4 wickets for 12 runs and scored 24 runs.
The quarter final match will be played tomorrow at the same venue at 2 pm.
The tournament generated much enthusiasm among the participating teams.
