Udit Vani Jamshedpur: Director and advisor at the Tata Group Harish Bhat will deliver the 32nd annual JRD Tata Oration on Business Ethics at XLRI Jamshedpur tomorrow ( November 22).
The topic for this year’s oration is “Doing the Right Thing – The Legacy of Ratan Tata”.
Over the years, the JRD Tata Oration on Business Ethics has gained importance not only among the B-school students and its faculty but also among corporate circles, especially Tata Steel and its associate companies.
It is an important event for the B- school as emphasis is laid on ethics and business principles.
The XLRI community looks forward to this event with much enthusiasm.
Harish Bhat has worked with the Tata Group for 37 years . Over this long period he has held many senior roles in the group including as brand custodian at Tata Sons , managing director and CEO at Tata Global Beverages and chief operating officer of the watches and jewellery businesses at Titan Company.
After his super anuation last year Harish is now serving as an advisor at Tata Sons. He is also a director on the boards of some Tata companies including Trent, Infinity Retail (Croma) and Tata Starbucks.
Harish Bhat is a graduate of BITS Pilani and IIM Ahmedabad.
The JRD Tata Foundation in Business Ethics, was established in 1991 to mark XLRI’s longstanding commitment and contribution to business ethics in India.
The foundation seeks to address itself by publicly affirming the urgent need for ethics in business and the need to bring about an appropriate culture in which it can thrive.
The first oration was delivered by JRD Tata himself.
