UditVani, Jamshedpur: A significant protest has begun at the main gate of Tata Motors in Jamshedpur, intensifying the debate around local employment opportunities.
Led by Bunti Singh, the dharna has drawn a large number of local residents demanding priority in jobs for youths from nearby areas.
Protesters voiced strong concerns that despite the presence of a major industrial giant, local candidates are not being adequately represented in the company’s workforce.

Alongside employment preferences, demonstrators also highlighted issues related to contract workers’ rights, wage transparency, and basic workplace facilities.
Addressing the gathering, Bunti Singh asserted that the agitation would continue until concrete steps are taken to address their demands.
He alleged persistent neglect of local youths and urged both the administration and company management to initiate dialogue and arrive at a fair resolution.
The protesters also questioned the role of authorities and the company, claiming that their grievances have long been ignored, forcing them to take to the streets.
Despite rising tensions, the demonstration has remained peaceful, with participants raising slogans and displaying banners to press their demands.
Organisers have warned that if their concerns are not addressed promptly, the agitation could escalate into a larger movement in the coming days.
