
UditVani, Jamshedpur: Loyola School Jamshedpur organised an impactful mental health awareness session for students of Classes VIII and IX at the Fasy Auditorium on Friday, aiming to address the growing concerns surrounding digital overexposure among adolescents.
The session was conducted by Dr. Geethu Parvathy, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Manipal Tata Medical College. Focusing on the theme “Mental Health and Digital Desensitization.”
She highlighted how excessive screen time and constant digital engagement can affect emotional sensitivity, attention span, and overall psychological well-being.
Through an interactive and thought-provoking approach, students were encouraged to introspect on their digital habits and understand the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between online activities and real-life interactions.
The session also offered practical tools and coping strategies to manage stress, enhance emotional resilience, and promote mental wellness.
The programme concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the guest speaker, marking the session as a meaningful and enriching initiative towards fostering mental health awareness among young learners.
