UditVani, Jamshedpur: The assembly on Thursday commenced in a tranquil atmosphere with an opening prayer, invoking a sense of reflection and gratitude.
This was followed by a poignant dramatic act presented by the students, throwing light on the final days of Jesus Christ.
Highlighting Jesus’ unwavering commitment to love and forgiveness despite facing betrayal and systemic injustice, the show successfully encompassed the feeling of universal brotherhood and peace amongst the students.
Interestingly, the latter part of the play took a creative turn, featuring a “modern-day Resurrection.”
Jesus appeared not in ancient Judea, but in the classrooms of Loyola School. He moved among the students, teaching the gospel of love, empathy and kindness, specifically tailored to the challenges of modern peer dynamics.
The core message of the act was clear: every child is unique and special.
The act reached its climax with Jesus delivering his final commandment to the students:
“Love one another as I have loved you.”
Following the spiritual depth of the play, the energy shifted towards joyful celebration.
The girls of Standard VI to VIII rocked the stage with a vibrant dance performance.
Their synergy and exuberance radiated positivity and good cheer, perfectly capturing the festive spirit of the Easter season.
The assembly was then graced by the words of Father Prinicpal, who addressed the students with a message of profound relevance.
He stressed on the essential virtues of kindness, selflessness, sacrifice and universal love.
He spoke somberly about the current global climate, expressing grief over the prevailing conditions of war and the disturbance of international peace.
He reminded everyone that as Loyoleans, the responsibility to implement these principles is paramount.
Invoking a powerful sentiment, he quoted:
“An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.”
He encouraged the students to be the catalysts for change in order to ensure that the world becomes a better place through their little deeds.
To conclude the event, the anchor invited reverend Father Vinod Fernandez, Vice Principal, Jayanti Sheshadri, High School Coordinator, Victoria Prasad, fellow Fathers and the teachers who had worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
In a gesture of appreciation, they were presented with tokens of gifts- each carrying a message celebrating the goodness of life.
With a renewed commitment to kindness and souls ignited with the spirit of “Cura Personalis”, the assembly drew to a successful close as the Loyola family bid farewell for a long Easter break.
