UditVani, Jamshedpur : Tata Steel has made a significant contribution to the Jewar Airport project in Uttar Pradesh by supplying 13.8 kilotonnes of its premium GalvaRoS (Galvanized Plain) steel. This has enabled the development of 1,614,585 sq. ft. of precision-engineered ducting, executed through its key customer, DS Ductofab Systems Pvt Ltd.
Strengthening Construction with Multiple Products
To further reinforce this ambitious project, Tata Steel has also supplied 7,400 metric tonnes of Tata Tiscon TMT rebars and 227 metric tonnes of Sm@rtFAB (welded wire mesh). These materials are being used across the airport’s terminal and cargo infrastructure.
Contribution from Tata Steel Tubes
In addition, Tata Steel Tubes has supplied approximately 960 metric tonnes of materials through key fabricators, supporting the pace and quality of construction work.

These combined contributions are playing a crucial role in developing Jewar Airport into a world-class aviation hub. The use of high-quality steel products ensures strength, durability, and precision in the project’s infrastructure.
Airport Inaugurated by Prime Minister
Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the Jewar Airport today (March 28, 2026). On the occasion, he reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding modern and world-class airport infrastructure across the country. The Jewar Airport is being seen as a major step toward establishing a key aviation hub in India.
