UditVani, Jamshedpur: In an extraordinary display of creativity and mechanical skill, a local mechanic from Chandil in adjoining has transformed an old Maruti 800 into a stunning replica inspired by the iconic Lamborghini Aventador, leaving people amazed by his craftsmanship.
Mohammad Arif, popularly known as “Tarzan”, is a mechanic by profession but his talent rivals that of professional automobile designers.
Two years ago, Arif purchased an old Maruti 800 for around Rs 50,000 and decided to give it the appearance of a luxury supercar.
After nearly two years of relentless effort and an investment of about Rs 4 lakh, the modest hatchback has been completely transformed into a striking sports car lookalike.
The vehicle now features a bold green exterior, custom-built bumpers, redesigned headlights, alloy wheels and an upgraded sound system, giving it a dramatic supercar aesthetic.
The modified car, parked outside Tarzan Garage near Gate No. 2 railway crossing in Chandil, has quickly become a local attraction.

Passersby frequently stop to admire the unusual creation, while many capture photos and videos on their mobile phones.
The unique design is also gaining attention on social media.
Arif said the project required continuous experimentation, design changes and long hours of labour. “It took about two years of hard work to bring the car to its present form,” he explained, adding that every modification was done without the support of any major mechanical workshop.
From its stylish doors and sharp body lines to its sporty stance, the car now resembles a modern supercar, proving that innovation and determination can turn even a small dream into an extraordinary reality.
The story of Arif’s “Desi Lamborghini” is now inspiring many, showing that remarkable talent often emerges from small towns where passion and perseverance drive creativity.
