UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand State Billiards and Snooker Association (JSBSA) State Ranking Tournament, currently underway at The United Club, has entered an exciting phase with top contenders advancing in the Men’s 6-Red Snooker category.
In the pre-quarterfinal matches, Prateek Lal registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Akshay Sachdeva, while Kush Adesara edged past Mohit Manik in a closely fought 3-2 encounter. Amit Kedia defeated Hemant Kumar 3-1, and Aman Kumar also secured a 3-1 win against Shubham Gupta.
The quarter-finals witnessed dominant performances from Sushant Sinha and Anish Parikh, both sealing emphatic 4-0 victories to book their places in the semi-finals.
Sushant outclassed Prateek Lal with frame scores of 39-0, 44-17, 34-0, 45-1, showcasing complete control throughout the match.
In another one-sided quarter-final, Anish Parikh overpowered Amit Kedia with frame scores of 32-9, 52-0, 41-9, 52-11, underlining his title credentials.
The prestigious state ranking tournament, being held from May 12 to 24, continues to draw the state’s finest cueists, with the competition intensifying as it heads towards the business end.
