UditVani, Jamshedpur: XLRI Jamshedpur has partnered with Adviya Institute of Coaching and Mentoring LLP to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Coaching and Mentoring, aimed at promoting human-centred leadership development in an increasingly AI-driven world.
The non-commercial initiative, grounded in academic excellence and practical relevance, will serve as a platform for research, education and thought leadership in coaching, mentoring and leadership development.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing ethical, reflective and evidence-based leadership practices that help individuals and organisations navigate complexity, enhance adaptability and build sustainable leadership cultures.
The Centre will focus on a wide range of initiatives, including applied research on coaching and mentoring outcomes, executive education and certification programmes, practitioner development workshops, and policy advisory support.
It will also host conferences, seminars and collaborative projects designed to evaluate and scale innovative coaching and mentoring models across sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. (Fr.) George Sebastian, SJ, Director of XLRI, said the Centre reinforces the institution’s longstanding commitment to leadership development that is both humane and empirically grounded.
He noted that the collaboration would generate meaningful research and learning to address the evolving leadership challenges faced by organisations today.
Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Founder Director of Adviya IOCM, said the partnership would create a significant platform where scholars and practitioners can jointly develop knowledge and translate insights into impactful organisational practices.
Highlighting the importance of people-centric development, Dr. Sai Bhargavi, who will co-lead the Centre from the research perspective, said human-centred leadership approaches are essential in enabling leaders and teams to navigate change with resilience, adaptability and purpose.
The collaboration marks another important step in XLRI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen responsible leadership, executive learning and institution-building through globally relevant and socially conscious initiatives.
