
UditVani, Jamshedpur : The shradh ceremony of late Jharkhand minister Ramdas Soren turned into a solemn yet significant political gathering on Friday, as Chief Minister Hemant Soren with wife and legislator Kalpana Soren, and Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar joined family members, ministers, and leaders to pay their respects.

Ghorabandha in Jamshedpur witnessed unusual hustle and bustle since morning, as convoys of vehicles, ministers, and well-wishers poured in for the ceremony. Police had made tight security arrangements, with heavy deployment along the roadside and at the venue to maintain law and order.
CM Hemant Soren Offers Condolences
Arriving by helicopter, CM Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren participated in the rituals and offered floral tributes to the late leader. The CM personally met family members, consoled them, and assured full support from the state government.
Governor Joins in Homage
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar also attended the shradh bhoj, paying homage to Ramdas Soren. He was joined by several ministers, MLAs, senior officers, and political figures from across the state, reflecting the late leader’s stature and acceptance across party lines.

From early morning, leaders and dignitaries kept arriving at the venue. The football ground near Ramdas Soren’s Ghorabandha residence was chosen for the shradh bhoj, where thousands of locals, party workers, and supporters gathered to honor his memory.

Ramdas Soren, a respected tribal leader and minister in the Jharkhand government, was known for his grassroots connect and relentless advocacy for Adivasi rights.
His demise has left a deep void in state politics, especially among the tribal community and residents of Jamshedpur.
