UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a powerful step toward ensuring child safety across the nation, Young India (Yi) Jamshedpur has partnered with NGO Arpan to amplify the nationwide “POCSO Pakad Lega” campaign — a bold movement aimed at educating citizens about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and enforcing a strong social deterrent against abuse.
With rising cases of violence and exploitation against minors, Yi’s nationwide awareness initiative seeks to transform societal attitudes by driving widespread knowledge of the POCSO Act — a law that ensures stringent punishment for sexual offences against children, along with child-friendly procedures during investigation and trial.
The campaign underscores that ignorance of the law is no excuse — offenders will be caught, prosecuted, and punished.
A digital storm is already taking shape. Hard-hitting social media reels highlighting the consequences of child abuse have been circulated across India, reaching thousands.
These impactful messages have resonated with parents, educators, child rights advocates, and young leaders who are rallying behind the cause.
In Jamshedpur, Yi’s volunteers are taking the movement beyond the screens.
The local chapter has intensified outreach through interactive sessions in schools, community engagements, and awareness materials at public touchpoints. Their core mission is clear: Every child must live free from fear.
“The message is twofold,” said a Yi representative adding “We want to empower children and caregivers with knowledge so they can recognise and report abuse. At the same time, we want predators to know — the law will not spare them. POCSO will catch you.”
By strengthening understanding of legal rights, reporting channels, and protective systems, Yi aims to ensure that the POCSO Act is not merely a law on paper but a shield guarding every child in the country.
As the campaign gains momentum, Yi Jamshedpur and Arpan are calling upon the community to stand united against any form of child sexual exploitation.
They emphasize that safeguarding the young is not just the duty of law enforcement — it is a moral, legal, and collective responsibility.
Because, when a child is safe, the nation’s future is secure.
