UditVani, Jamshedpur : The International Conference on AI Engineering and Innovation (AIEI 2026) concluded on a dignified note at National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur on Saturday, marking the end of a three-day academic exchange on cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence and engineering.
Organised by the Department of Electrical Engineering, the conference from March 26 to 28 brought together academicians, researchers, and industry experts to deliberate on emerging trends and interdisciplinary innovation in AI.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Director Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, who presided as Chief Patron.
He was joined by Registrar Prof. Saroj Kumar Sarangi and Head of the Department Dr. Madhu Singh as Co-Patrons.
Among the Guests of Honour were Prof. Asheesh Kumar Singh and Vinod Veeramachaneni.
Delivering the welcome address, General Co-Chair Dr. Surajit Kundu highlighted the collaborative efforts behind the conference and its academic relevance.
This was followed by felicitation of dignitaries.
In his address, Prof. Asheesh Kumar Singh shared insights into advancements in deep learning, power systems, and renewable energy integration, underscoring the growing impact of AI-driven solutions.
Vinod Veeramachaneni also addressed the gathering and announced internship opportunities for four students at ThinkMediator Inc..
Subsequent remarks by Dr. Madhu Singh and Prof. Saroj Kumar Sarangi emphasised the importance of institutional support and interdisciplinary research in driving innovation.
In his concluding speech, Prof. Goutam Sutradhar commended the organisers and participants, reiterating the institute’s commitment to fostering a strong research ecosystem.
The conference was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Veer Pratap Meena, whose efforts ensured its smooth execution.
Currently serving as Student Chapter Educational Program Subcommittee Chair (2025–2027) under IEEE, Dr. Meena has also been listed among the world’s top 2 % scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier in 2024 and 2025.
He was supported by Dr. Surya Pratap in coordinating the proceedings.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Dinesh Kumar, followed by the National Anthem and a group photograph, formally bringing AIEI 2026 to a close.
