UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur FC Under-14 is set to begin its AIFF Sub-Junior League 2025-26 journey with a home clash against Ramkrishna Mission Football Academy at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on January 25.
The fixture will mark the team’s first competitive appearance of the new season. While the All India Football Federation (AIFF) is yet to announce the remaining fixtures of the zonal round Group ‘G’, the opening match offers an early chance for the young squad to demonstrate its preparation and potential.
The 20-member squad features 19 players from Jharkhand, reflecting the club’s strong emphasis on grassroots development within the state.
The players were shortlisted after extensive trials held across Jharkhand over a three-month period.
Coached by Rahul Raj, former head coach of the Jharkhand State Sub-Junior team, the side has been in structured training for the past two months, focusing on technical skills and match readiness.
“The players have been improving constantly. This year we have made good preparations, and it will be a golden opportunity for the players, especially those from Jharkhand,” Rahul Raj said.
Jamshedpur FC’s participation in the AIFF Sub-Junior League is a crucial component of the club’s youth development pathway, aimed at providing young footballers with competitive national-level exposure and a platform to progress through the ranks.
