UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur FC U-18 were forced to settle for a 1–1 draw against RKM Football Academy in their AIFF Elite League clash at Flatelet on Saturday, despite producing an impressive and dominant second-half performance.
After a subdued start, Jamshedpur took the lead through Rayan, whose deflected effort found the net in the first half.
However, a momentary defensive lapse allowed RKM to equalise just before the interval.
The Men of Steel returned after the break with renewed intensity, creating a flurry of chances through Rayan, Mama and Satyajit, but a combination of near misses and inspired goalkeeping denied them a winner.
Late opportunities for Gopal and Alvin also went begging as Jamshedpur’s pressure failed to translate into goals.
With the draw, Jamshedpur FC move to 14 points from six matches, staying in the hunt but left to regret a host of missed chances.
