UditVani, Jamshedpur : The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on Thursday chaired a comprehensive weekly review meeting at the police headquarters’ conference hall, attended by the Superintendent of Police (City), all DSPs, Inspectors, and Station House Officers from urban police stations. The SSP conducted an in-depth assessment of operations carried out in three critical areas: prevention of illegal narcotics trafficking, action against illegal firearms, and progress in clearing pending cases. Officers presented detailed reports on raids, arrests, and seizures made during the past week.
Intensified Drive Against Drug Peddlers
Highlighting the rising concerns surrounding illegal narcotics, the SSP directed all officers to launch more aggressive and intelligence-driven operations. He instructed teams to identify and dismantle networks of drug peddlers and ensure strict surveillance in vulnerable pockets of the city.

Faster Disposal of Pending Cases
To improve overall policing efficiency, the SSP reviewed the status of long-pending cases and issued clear instructions to expedite investigations. Officers were advised to complete legal procedures promptly and prioritize cases linked to serious crimes.
Reiterating the need for visible and result-oriented policing, the SSP instructed all officers to maintain heightened vigilance, intensify field operations, and submit timely progress reports.
