UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur FC has officially announced its U-18 squad for the upcoming AIFF Elite Youth League, with the young Men of Steel looking to build on last season’s impressive runners-up finish in the U-17 division. With the age category restructured to U-18, much of the core group remains intact, carrying forward valuable experience and strong momentum.
A notable highlight of the squad is the inclusion of six players from Jharkhand, reaffirming the club’s sustained commitment to nurturing local talent through its grassroots and academy pathways. Adding to the excitement is the presence of promising forward Heeranganba Seram, currently representing India in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers. Seram is set to join the team after completing his national duties, boosting the squad’s offensive capabilities.

Led by head coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla, JFC’s U-18 side will begin their Elite Youth League campaign at home. The originally planned opener on November 29 against Ramakrishna Mission has been postponed, meaning Jamshedpur will now kick off their journey on December 7 against SAIL Football Academy at the Flatlet Ground.
Competing in Zonal Group G, the team will play 14 matches across three months in an intensive home-and-away format, with travel scheduled to Varanasi, Patna, Bhubaneswar, and Bokaro.
Head coach Kaizad expressed optimism about his squad’s preparation and unity. “The understanding in this group is excellent. They support each other, communicate well, and stay disciplined. Our strengths lie in our work rate, compact structure, and intent-driven attacking play,” he said.
