UditVani, Ranchi/Jamshedpur : In a significant development, the Jharkhand CID has arrested Santosh Kumar Mastana, an official of the state Finance Department, for his alleged involvement in the JSSC-CGL (Combined Graduate Level) examination paper leak case.
CID officials confirmed that Mastana’s arrest came after concrete evidence linked him to the leak that triggered outrage among thousands of job aspirants. He is accused of helping circulate the confidential exam paper ahead of the test.
Investigators said Mastana is being interrogated to identify others involved in the racket. More arrests are likely as the CID continues to trace the wider network behind the leak.
The JSSC-CGL exam, meant for recruitment to several state government posts, had to be scrutinized following the scandal, raising concerns about transparency in the recruitment process.
