UditVani, Jamshedpur : East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi held an interactive and solution-oriented public grievance redressal session at the Collectorate’s office chamber in Jamshedpur on Friday.
Citizens from various parts of the district participated and shared personal and community-related issues with the DC, who listened attentively and took immediate action in many cases.
Grievances presented included road encroachment, domestic violence, family disputes, land-related conflicts, anti-encroachment measures, drainage construction, challenges in intermediate-level admissions, road damage due to heavy rainfall in rural areas, demands for police outposts and road infrastructure, scrutiny of marks obtained in the recently held chowkidar recruitment exam, pending mutation cases, land revenue, pensions, requests for direct recruitment of chowkidars under sports quota, fee waivers, placement of a husband in an old-age home, and issues related to ration cards, Ayushman cards, and more.
The DC emphasized that hearing public concerns is not merely a formality but a core administrative responsibility. “Every genuine grievance deserves a fair resolution. Accountability and timely response are central to public service,” he asserted.
He directed officials from concerned departments to ensure prompt and just action on each application. Many of the issues raised by differently-abled persons, senior citizens, and women were forwarded immediately to the respective offices for resolution on the spot.
DC Satyarthi also instructed that regular monitoring of unresolved cases be conducted and warned that repeated complaints would lead to the fixing of departmental accountability. All departmental heads were directed to resolve pending applications within a stipulated timeframe.
This initiative reinforced the district administration’s commitment to responsive governance and citizen-centric service delivery.
