UditVani, Jamshedpur : A man from Chatra district of Jharkhand, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a hotel near Dimna Chowk on Wednesday morning.
The deceased had checked into the hotel late Tuesday night with three companions.
Police said the youth reportedly fell ill overnight and was taken to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where doctors declared him brought dead. His identity has not been disclosed, but family members have been informed and are on their way from Chatra.
MGM police have launched a thorough investigation. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and the deceased’s companions are being questioned to determine the chain of events. “All possible angles are being looked into,” said MGM police station in-charge Rambabu Tiwari.
The hotel staff, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the group appeared normal and had booked two rooms. The cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem.
