Uditvani: In a proud moment for Jharkhand, Ravi Shankar Shukla, the deputy commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan, was conferred with the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024.
The award was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Civil Services Day celebration held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
DC Shukla was recognized under the category of the Aspirational Block Programme for his exemplary leadership and effective execution of development initiatives in the Gamharia block of Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
His work has brought substantial improvement in the lives of residents through focused efforts in critical sectors.
The Aspirational Block Programme (ABP), launched by NITI Aayog on January 7, 2023, is designed to uplift 500 of India’s most underdeveloped blocks by fast-tracking socio-economic progress.
The program emphasizes enhanced governance, improved service delivery, and regular monitoring of developmental indicators across five core areas—Health and Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Allied Activities, Basic Infrastructure, and Social Development.
Under Shukla’s stewardship, Gamharia block showed remarkable performance in all key focus areas, setting an example of efficient public administration and grassroots development.
His dynamic approach, innovative planning, and commitment to inclusive growth have made a meaningful difference, ultimately earning national recognition.
