UditVani, New Delhi: The Pre-Budget consultations for the upcoming Union Budget 2025-26, chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, concluded in New Delhi today. These discussions spanned over a month, commencing on December 6, 2024.
During these in-person consultations, over 100 participants from nine key stakeholder groups contributed their insights. These groups included experts and representatives from farmer organizations, agricultural economists, trade unions, the education and health sectors, MSMEs, trade and services, industry, economists, and the financial and capital markets sectors.
The Finance Minister expressed her appreciation to the participants for their valuable inputs. She assured them that their suggestions would be thoroughly reviewed and considered in drafting the Union Budget 2025-26. Starting January 10, citizens are invited to share their ideas and recommendations for the Budget on the MyGov platform. This initiative emphasizes active citizen involvement, reflecting the spirit of ‘Jan Bhagidari’ to make the Budget process more inclusive and participatory.
