
UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a proactive step as a run up for Chaiti Chhath and Ram Navami celebrations, Mango Municipal Corporation Mayor Sudha Gupta conducted an extensive inspection of key Chhath ghats and critical locations across the civic body’s jurisdiction, issuing firm directives to ensure seamless arrangements for devotees.
Cleanliness and Civic Readiness in Focus
During her visit, the Mayor underscored the urgency of maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all Chhath ghats.
She instructed officials to undertake an intensive sanitation drive and ensure the availability of essential facilities, including proper lighting, barricading, potable water, toilets, and adequate security. The aim, she emphasized, is to provide a safe and convenient environment for devotees observing the sacred festival.
Strategic Planning for Ram Navami
Reviewing preparations for Ram Navami, Gupta directed authorities to expedite readiness along procession routes.
She called for immediate road repairs where necessary, systematic cleaning, water sprinkling to control dust, and the provision of sufficient drinking water points.
Stressing the importance of public safety, she also highlighted the need for robust crowd management measures to ensure the smooth conduct of festivities.

Beyond festival arrangements, the Mayor placed strong emphasis on addressing the region’s persistent water supply concerns.
She instructed the Municipal Commissioner to formulate a comprehensive and forward-looking plan covering water sources, distribution networks, pipeline infrastructure, pressure management, and future demand projections.
