Udit Vani, Jamshedpur: Marking its prestigious Centenary Year (1926–2026), the Andhra Association, Kadma, Jamshedpur, organized a grand musical evening titled “Cine Sangeet Vibhavari” on Sunday at Rajendra Vidyalaya Auditorium, Sakchi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members, invited guests, media representatives, and the general public, making it a memorable cultural celebration.
Distinguished Presence of Chief Guest and Dignitaries
The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. D. B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President – Corporate Services, Tata Steel. The event was presided over by Major K. Satyanarayan, President of Andhra Association, along with other office bearers and dignitaries.
Ceremonial Lamp Lighting and Felicitation
The evening commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a warm welcome by the anchor. The Chief Guest was felicitated with a shawl, bouquet, and memento by the President, Treasurer, and General Secretary of the Association.
Highlighting a Glorious 100-Year Journey
On the occasion, General Secretary Mr. Y. K. Sharma introduced the Chief Guest and highlighted the significance of the Centenary Year celebrations. Addressing the gathering, the President reflected on the glorious journey and achievements of the Andhra Association over the past 100 years.
Chief Guest Mr. D. B. Sundara Ramam congratulated the Association for completing a remarkable century of service in the fields of education, culture, and community development. He also appreciated the Association’s efforts in preserving cultural heritage and organizing such meaningful programmes.
Cultural Evening Begins with Ganesh Vandana
The cultural segment began with a graceful Ganesh Vandana dance performance by B. Hanshika, which received high appreciation from the audience. The musical evening was then led by renowned artist Sri B. Ramana Murty & Party from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, who delivered a melodious and entertaining performance.
Mesmerizing Performances by Renowned Artists
The event featured performances by Veera Swamy (Playback Singer – ETV Artist), Surabhi Sravani (Playback Singer), Somesh (Saxophone Artist), and B. A. Narayana (Classical Musician). Their performances drew loud applause and admiration from the large audience present at the auditorium.
Felicitation of Artists and Formal Conclusion
During the programme, all performing artists were felicitated by the members of the Managing Committee and office bearers of the Association. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. R. Shailaja, Executive Committee Member of Andhra Association English School, followed by the National Anthem.
More Events Planned in Centenary Year
The Association informed that a series of events will continue as part of the Centenary Year Celebrations. The upcoming Souvenir Launch Programme is scheduled to be held on 29th March 2026 at the Andhra Association Campus.
