
UditVani, Jamshedpur : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for Jharkhand predicting thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) at isolated places on September 13.
The warning continues for September 14–15, with the possibility of heavy rainfall over north-eastern and adjoining central parts of the state.
Weather Systems at Play
The monsoon trough at mean sea level runs through Sri Ganganagar, Bareilly, Barabanki, Dehri, Purulia, Digha and extends into the northeast Bay of Bengal.
An upper air cyclonic circulation over South Odisha–North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, extending up to 4.5 km, persists.
A trough line is also active from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim to west-central Bay of Bengal across Jharkhand.
