
UditVani, Jamshedpur : With the proposed visit of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, to Jamshedpur on December 29, the district administration has completed all preparations to ensure a smooth and secure programme.
In this regard, a detailed briefing of magistrates, police officers and police personnel was held at the JRD Sports Complex on Saturday, jointly chaired by District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey.
Addressing the officers, the Deputy Commissioner underlined that the President’s visit involves the highest level of protocol and requires flawless execution.
He directed all officials to discharge their responsibilities with utmost sincerity, discipline and coordination, ensuring that there is no lapse in protocol, security, time management or inter-departmental cooperation.
He reviewed arrangements related to the programme venue, route line, airport/helipad, residential areas, meeting venue, parking facilities and emergency preparedness, and instructed officers to complete final checks well in advance.
SSP Piyush Pandey, while briefing the police personnel, stated that security and maintenance of law and order during the President’s visit are the administration’s top priorities.
He emphasised that any negligence in security arrangements would be unacceptable.
Directions were issued for strict implementation of route line clearance, anti-sabotage checks, CCTV surveillance, traffic regulation and diversions, pass systems and intelligence coordination.
He also instructed all police personnel to adhere strictly to the prescribed dress code and protocol.
To handle any unforeseen situation, control rooms, quick response teams and medical emergency units will remain fully functional, with constant coordination among all departments.
It was further directed that traffic management plans and information on alternative routes would be shared through the media to minimise inconvenience to the general public.
Senior district officials also carried out inspections of the programme venue, airport and the entire route line to review ground-level preparations and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers.
