
UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a swift, intelligence-led operation, Delhi Police apprehended a wanted accused in a narcotics case from the Sitaramdera area on Tuesday night , with support from the local police.
The accused, Shravan Jaiswal alias Neelu, was arrested from his residence in New Baradwari (Devnagar), Ward No. 7, following a tip-off about his whereabouts.
A team from Vikas Puri Police Station reached the steel city and coordinated with Sitaramdera police to execute the raid.
Jaiswal, son of Jagannath Prasad Jaiswal, had been evading arrest in a serious case registered under the NDPS Act in Delhi. Police had been tracking him for a considerable period.
The sudden action created a stir in the neighbourhood, as residents gathered in large numbers amid heightened curiosity.
Officials confirmed that the accused has been taken to Delhi for further questioning, with investigators expecting that the arrest may lead to the exposure of a larger drug trafficking network.
