UditVani, Jamshedpur : As the Ghatshila by-election draws closer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for an intensive campaign phase to consolidate its support base in the constituency. With polling scheduled for November 11 and campaigning set to conclude on November 9, the party is preparing to deploy its full organizational strength and a host of star campaigners to the ground.
BJP’s Jharkhand organization in-charge Abhay Singh said the party has chalked out a comprehensive plan to reach voters at every level. Leading the campaign charge will be prominent leaders from both Jharkhand and West Bengal, signaling the party’s focus on cross-border influence and regional outreach.
Among those expected to campaign in Ghatshila are West Bengal BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari, former IPS officer and national spokesperson Bharti Ghosh, Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar, Lok Sabha MP Locket Chatterjee, and Rani Mukherjee.
Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy will also visit Ghatshila and Jadugora, where he will highlight the Centre’s recent initiatives, including the opening of several new mines in the region. He is expected to outline the government’s roadmap for accelerated local development and employment generation through these projects.
Adding a touch of star power to the campaign, film icon and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty will lead a high-energy roadshow in Ghatshila.
Local BJP workers and residents had requested his participation, recalling his popular roadshow during the 2024 elections in support of Babulal Soren, which drew massive crowds.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s National Election Committee has announced a team of 40 star campaigners for the by-election. The list features senior figures such as Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Babulal Marandi, Arjun Munda, Raghubar Das, Champai Soren, Bidyut Baran Mahto, Aditya Sahu, and Abhay Singh, among others.
Party insiders said the campaign will blend developmental promises, leadership visibility, and mass outreach to create momentum in the final phase before voting day. With high-profile visits and a series of rallies lined up after Chhath, the BJP appears determined to turn the Ghatshila by-election into a show of organizational strength and voter connect.
