
UditVani, Jamshedpur: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Piyush Pandey on Monday chaired the city’s monthly crime review meeting, directing officers to act firmly against criminals and ensure quick disposal of pending cases.
The meeting, attended by DySPs, Inspectors, and SHOs, focused on law and order, use of digital policing systems, and preparations for the upcoming Ghatshila Assembly by-election and Durga Puja.
SSP Pandey instructed officers to prioritize execution of warrants, property attachment cases, and arrest of absconding accused. He also emphasized timely completion of passport and character verification to improve citizen services.
Highlighting the role of technology, he called for effective use of CCTNS, sexual offence tracking systems, e-evidence, online FIR, and Dial-112 services for faster and transparent policing.
Urging strict vigilance, he underlined that public safety and communal harmony must remain the top priorities during festivals and elections. Pandey reminded officers that policing is not only about crime control but also about building trust and ensuring peace in society.
