Ranchi / Jamshedpur : A Tricolour March was taken out in Ranchi on Wednesday, spearheaded by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, as a tribute to the Indian Army’s gallantry following the triumphant “Operation Sindoor.”
Calling upon citizens to rally against terrorism, participants raised patriotic slogans lauding Bharat Mata and denouncing extremist violence.
The procession commenced at Shaheed Chowk and culminated at the Bhagwan Birsa Munda memorial in Kokar. Alongside Minister Seth, the march drew a sizeable turnout of BJP dignitaries—State President Babulal Marandi, Acting President Ravindra Rai, MLA C.P. Singh—party workers, and local residents.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Seth stressed the apolitical nature of the event, describing it as a spontaneous surge of national pride.
“From the remotest panchayats to our bustling cities, Indians are unfurling the Tricolour to salute our forces,” he remarked, lauding the Army’s swift neutralization of terrorist bases in Pakistan and their decisive penetration deep into hostile territory.
Expressing appreciation for international solidarity, including support from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the minister announced that similar marches under the “Citizens for National Security” banner will be held across Jharkhand—divisional headquarters on May 15, district headquarters on May 16, and at block levels on May 19 and 20.
