Jamshedpur : A tragic road accident late Wednesday night at Sidho Kanhu More in the Birsanagar police station area claimed lives of two youths.
The deceased have been identified as Budhram Shandilya (28) and Golu Munda (22), residents of Zone No. 2B, Birsanagar.
According to reports, the two friends were heading towards the Birsanagar police station on a Bullet motorcycle when they lost control of the bike near Sidho Kanhu More.
The motorcycle skidded, causing both of them to fall onto the road. Their friends rushed them to MGM Hospital in critical condition.
Golu Munda was declared dead upon arrival. Seeing Budhram’s serious condition, his family shifted him to TMH, where he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment.
Budhram was employed as a security guard at a company in Telco, while Golu Munda worked at Usha Martin. Known to be close friends, they were often seen together. Their sudden death has cast a pall of gloom in Birsanagar area.
On Thursday, police conducted post-mortems and handed over the bodies to the families.
The incident has left the families devastated and the local community in deep mourning.
