UditVani, Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand State Billiards and Snooker Association (JSBSA) continued its State Ranking Tournament at The United Club with an exciting line-up of matches on the second day, showcasing high-quality competition in both the men’s billiards and boys’ under-21 snooker categories.
In the Men’s Billiards event, Dr. Snehanshu Saha registered a convincing victory over Binod Upadhyay, winning 218-128 in the opening round.
In the quarter-finals, Sumit Agarwal outplayed Ganesh Khanal by 341-235, while Dr. Saha edged past Anseth Pereira in a nail-biting encounter, winning by a single point at 247-246.
The semi-final saw Anish Parikh deliver a commanding performance as he defeated Sumit Agarwal 2-0 to secure his place in the final.
Parikh dominated both frames comfortably, winning 151-43 and 151-37.
In the Boys’ Under-21 Snooker category, Arsh Kumar advanced with a straight-frame 2-0 win over Vaibhav Kumar, taking the frames 61-22 and 65-11.
The semi-finals produced equally impressive performances. In the first semi-final, Aayush Kumar overcame Yashwant Rao 2-0, winning 50-18 and 65-20. In the second, Arsh Kumar continued his fine run by defeating Samit Kashliwal 2-0 in a closely contested match, with frame scores of 67-32 and 58-55.
The Under-21 Snooker final will now see Aayush Kumar take on Arsh Kumar on Thursday, promising an exciting title clash as the tournament progresses at The United Club.
