UditVani Jamshedpur : The Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) has completed necessary preparations for the 358th Prakash Parv which marks the jayanti of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last guru of Sikhs on January 6, Monday.
CGPC has issued rules to be followed during the grand Nagar Kirtan to be taken out from Telco Gurdwara and all the Gurdwara committees of Kolhan have also been informed in this regard.
CGPC chief Sardar Bhagwan Singh said that they should celebrate the birth of Guru Gobind Singh with full devotion and joy and make their children aware of Sikh history.
Bhagwan Singh appealed that all the devotees should welcome the Palki Sahib by wearing Basanti or blue Dastar and Odhni in the honor of the Sikh guru.
The Central Gurdwara Management Committee has issued a statement appealing to all the 34 Gurdwara Committees of Kolhan that on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Parv, instead of the Sangat and other organizations becoming spectators, they should wear saffron or blue dastar and Odhani and join the CGPC in large numbers.
Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh said that Nagar Kirtan will depart from Telco Gurdwara Sahib at 11:30 am in the morning and will conclude at Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib at 5 pm in the evening via the pre-determined route.
The departure of Guru Ji’s Palki Sahib from Telco Gurudwara will be done in a grand manner.
A special Diwan of Shabd-Kirtan will be organized in all the Gurudwaras and on this auspicious occasion, there will be arrangements for langar ( community meal ) in all the Gurudwaras of the city.
CGPC appealed to all the Gurudwara committees to install decorative archways on their respective routes to welcome the Palki Sahib.
Central Singh Naujawan Sabha will be responsible for the traffic of the entire Nagar Kirtan.
At the end of Nagar Kirtan, Palki Sahib will be welcomed with reverence and pomp at Sakchi Gurdwara . Flowers will be showered upon reaching Nagar Kirtan in Sakchi.
