UditVani Jamshedpur : Sonari police successfully solved the Suraj Pramanik murder case and arrested three accused within 24 hours and sent them to judicial custody.
The arrested accused include Manoj Jaiswal alias Manoj Pagli, resident of Panchwati Nagar Road No. 8, Sonari, Pintu Singh alias Prakash Kumar Singh of Panchwati Nagar Road No. 8 and notorious criminal Vikas Singh.
Police arrested Manoj Jaiswal and Pintu Singh near Dobo bridge. On their information, Vikas Singh was caught near Nirmal Nagar Kali Mandir.
A pistol, three live bullets, a scooter without number plate and two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
Old rivalry is stated to be the reason for murder.
SSP Kishore Kaushal said the reason for the murder was old enmity.
In the year 2017, Suraj had made a fatal attack on Manoj, after which a case was registered against Manoj and he also went to jail.
The murder was planned by Manoj and he was the one who opened fire. The SSP had formed a special team led by City SP to investigate the incident and arrest the accused.
The team included deputy superintendent of police Headquarters-II, Sonari Police and policemen from the Technical Cell.
The arrested Vikas Singh alias Hete is a notorious criminal and history-sheeter.
According to the police, all the accused involved in the incident have prior criminal records.
All three accused have been sent to judicial custody.
