UditVani, Jamshedpur: Loyola School Jamshedpur organised a two-day Orientation Programme for its faculty members on March 12 and 13, in preparation for the upcoming academic session.
The initiative aimed to equip teachers with fresh perspectives, innovative strategies, and practical tools to enhance classroom engagement and learning outcomes.
The programme commenced with a workshop on Appreciative Inquiry conducted by Fr Michael Thanaraj, Rector of the school. Through his interactive session, teachers were encouraged to explore new perspectives, recognise existing strengths, and harness collective potential.
The workshop focussed on cultivating a positive mindset and building an environment that emphasises what works well within the educational ecosystem.
The second session was led by Muralidhar Koteshwar, Chairperson of Sampoorna Life Skills Foundation and a noted speaker on the intersection of artificial intelligence, education, and human values.
His presentation titled “AI Integration in Curriculum” offered an overview of artificial intelligence, its current applications, and the transformative role it can play in modern classrooms.
The session also addressed the opportunities and risks associated with AI, while introducing practical tools and strategies that educators can adopt in their teaching practices.
He further highlighted the importance of ethics, policy frameworks, and responsible integration of AI in education.
Both sessions were widely appreciated by the participating teachers, who actively engaged in discussions and explored ways to incorporate the learnings into their classroom practices for the upcoming academic year.
