August 29: Thunderstorms expected across most parts, except north-west Jharkhand. Heavy rainfall likely in south-eastern and north-eastern districts.
August 30: Thunderstorms likely statewide; heavy rain predicted in central Jharkhand.
August 31: Thunderstorm and lightning accompanied by gusty winds may occur at isolated places.
The conditions are being driven by a low-pressure system persisting over the northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast, which is moving slowly west-northwestwards.
Met department authorities have urged people to remain alert to possible lightning strikes, waterlogging, and wind-related damage.
