An eye check-up camp had been organised in June for students of Classes 4 to 10, during which 397 students were examined. Of them, 34 were diagnosed with vision problems requiring spectacles. On Tuesday, all 34 students received their spectacles, sponsored by the LAA.
The distribution event was attended by Rector Fr. Mike T. Raj, LAA President Fr. Vinod Fernandes, members of the LAA Executive, Dr. Rajneesh, Dr. Malay, as well as students and their parents.
Apart from health initiatives, the LAA also extends annual scholarships worth ₹2 lakhs to Hindi School students, underlining its mission to uplift marginalised and underprivileged sections of society through education and welfare activities.
