UditVani, Jamshedpur : The stage is set for the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination 2025, scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 18, across 12 examination centers in East Singhbhum district.
A total of 7,507 candidates are expected to appear for the exam, which will be conducted under strict surveillance from 10.30 am to 1 pm.
In accordance with the directives of the Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, a key coordination meeting was chaired by Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Shatabdi Mazumdar at the district collectorate.
The meeting was attended by center superintendents, static magistrates, and flying squad officers to ensure a fair, peaceful, and smooth examination process.
Electronic gadgets strictly prohibited
All examination centers will be monitored through CCTV cameras, and biometric attendance of candidates will be recorded. The use or possession of any electronic devices—including mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, pagers, log tables, and digital diaries—is strictly prohibited. Candidates found in possession of such gadgets will face disciplinary action.
Security tightened, prohibitory orders enforced
To maintain law and order, prohibitory orders under the B.N.S.S. have been enforced around all exam centers. The 100-meter radius around each center has been declared a restricted zone on the exam day. Within this area, no individual—except exam personnel and police—will be allowed entry. Additionally, carrying weapons (excluding walking sticks for elderly and differently-abled persons), assembling in groups of five or more, and using loudspeakers without permission are strictly banned.
