Jamshedpur : In a proactive move to strengthen the security framework of bank branches across the city, the Jamshedpur police launched a special campaign on Wednesday.
The initiative was undertaken under the directives of SSP Kishore Kaushal and was jointly led by Rural SP Rishabh Garg and City SP Kumar Subhashish.
As part of the drive, a comprehensive security audit was conducted in all bank branches located within the jurisdiction of every police station in the district. The audit involved a detailed inspection of CCTV camera functionality, alarm systems, deployment of armed guards, cash vault security, and emergency evacuation procedures.
Police officials held direct interactions with branch managers to review the existing security measures. Where lapses were identified, strict instructions for immediate rectification were issued on the spot.
The officers emphasized that negligence in security arrangements will not be tolerated under any circumstances. They also highlighted the possibility of providing security training to bank staff if required.
Furthermore, the police stressed the importance of enhanced coordination between law enforcement and bank management to ensure swift and effective response in case of any criminal activity.
This initiative underscores the police department’s commitment to ensuring the safety of financial institutions and fostering a secure environment for citizens.
